Here you can learn about our active and friendly club. The club was inaugurated in 1931 by our parent club, The City of Nottingham. We are also twinned with Evansville Rotary Club in Indiana, U.S.A. theme for 2005/6
Our Rotary Organisation motto is : ' Service Above Self '.Left is the image to signify the theme for 2005 - 2006 which is about emphasising the Rotary Organisation motto.

It is a great honour and privilege to be the President of The Rotary Club of Grantham in its 78th year. We have a flourishing and very active Club involved in a vast array of local regional, national & international projects fulfilling the Rotary motto of “Humanity in Motion”. My aim this year is quite simply to maintain and build on the many strengths of the Club and most importantly, along with all our members, enjoy achieving what we have set out to do

Grantham is an ancient market town situated equidistant between Lincoln, Nottingham. Peterborough and Leicester. Our famous people include Newton and Margaret Thatcher, Britain's first lady Prime Minister, both lived and were educated here. The world famous 'ginger bread man' is also a son of Grantham.
The club is very active in the community and consists of about 56 members. The Kings Hotel is our normal meeting venue on Monday lunch time, 12:30 till 14:15. Here we usually enjoy a hearty meal along with interesting guest speakers. Members also arrange several social functions.
